French native born on the island of Mauritius, "I'Isle de France" as it was formerly called, Didier began learning to speak English at seven and playing the guitar at eight (coming from a long line of accomplished classical composers and pianists on his paternal side, the latter came to him much more easily). His self-taught forays began casually at first, after moving to the U.S., until he was introduced to the likes of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Frank Marino, John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, and Allan Holdsworth, all of whom he studied intensely. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after high school and began studying guitar for the next ten years with virtuoso Marc Bonilla (who has worked with such luminaries as Ronnie Montrose, Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple). Bonilla has since moved to L.A. to pursue an impressive career as a film and T.V. composer, while Didier stayed on in the Bay Area as a full time working guitarist, studio musician, composer, and teacher.

His ability to play so many styles of music has led him to many diverse studio and performance projects. His playing has been repeatedly featured with the world-renowned vertical dance troupe Project Bandaloop in San Francisco, Oregon, and at the Banff Center for the arts in Alberta Canada. His fiery and passionate acoustic guitar work is heavily featured on the newly released CD, "Despi A Alma" by internationally acclaimed Portuguese fado singer, Ramana Vieira. To further challenge his improvisational skills, he performed many seasons with San Francisco's longest-running theater improv troupe, Flash Family.  Although he has made special events his specialty, his musical flexibly has in the recent past afforded him work with Latin jazz, Caribbean (soca), rumba flamenco, hard rock, and blues bands all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2005 Didier released his instrumental debut album “Left Turn on Spanish Highway”, which was an amalgamation of acoustic rumba flamenco and instrumental electric rock guitar. All but one song, “Pan in A minor”, are originals. The CD is available on all major digital platforms including Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify. On CDBaby: Left Turn on Spanish Highway.

Currently, he is playing with the new Dan Ashley Band (who’s musicians have toured with Mariah Carey, Santana, Frankie Beverly, Isaac Hayes, Pablo Cruz, and Zepparella). Dan Ashley is a local and regional celebrity news anchor who is also the front lead singer for the band.

Didier also plays in a highly acclaimed 70’s and 80’s tribute band called the Dr.D Band, featuring virtuoso singer; Deborah Del Mastro.

As a special events performer, Didier has played in countless venues, from modest outdoor parks in the Bay Area, to some of the most prestigious venues in Northern California, including the Fairmont and Mark Hopkins hotels as well as many award-winning wineries in Napa/Sonoma/Alameda counties such as Robert Mondavi, Concannon, Wente and the Kunde Winery.
